Bella App Pty Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you:

  • Use our mobile application ("Bella" or "the App"), or any other application of ours that links to this privacy notice

  • Engage with us in other related ways, including sales, marketing, or events. Please read this policy carefully.

By accessing or using Bella, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of personal and non-personal information to improve the App’s functionality, personalise your experience, and provide a seamless booking experience:

a. Personal Information Provided by You

When you register for an account, make a booking, or use other features of Bella, we may collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Username

  • Password

  • Birthday

  • Profile photo (optional)

  • Service preferences

  • Contact preferences

  • Contact or authentication data

  • Booking history (salons, services, and dates)

  • Salon preferences and reviews

b. Automatically Collected Information

When you use Bella, certain information is automatically collected, including:

  • Device information (e.g., model, operating system, and unique identifiers)

  • Location data (with your consent, for discovering nearby salons)

  • Log information (e.g., IP address, access times, and pages viewed)

  • Usage data (e.g., how you interact with the App)

c. Application Data. If you use our application(s), we also may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

  • Push Notifications. We may request to send you push notifications regarding your account or certain features of the application(s). If you wish to opt out from receiving these types of communications, you may turn them off in your device's settings.

This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our application(s), for troubleshooting, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Facilitating account creation and authentication, and managing user accounts

  • Requesting feedback

  • Evaluating and improving our services, products, marketing, and your experience

  • Facilitating and processing bookings with partner salons

  • Personalising your experience within the app

  • Managing your account and providing customer support

  • Sending relevant notifications, promotions, and updates

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your information in the following circumstances:

a. Service Providers

We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers who assist us with functions such as:

  • App hosting and maintenance

b. With Salons

If you book an appointment through Bella, we may share your contact details and booking preferences with the selected salon to facilitate the appointment.

We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a valid court order, or to protect our rights, privacy, or safety, or that of others.

4. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorised third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.

5. Your Privacy Rights

a. Access and Correction

b. Account Deletion

You may request the deletion of your Bella account and associated data by contacting us at info@bellaapp.au. Please note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

6. Data Retention

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymise such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

7. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Bella. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

8. Children’s Privacy

Bella is not directed to children under the age of 15, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 15 without parental consent. If you are between the ages of 13 and 15, you may only register or provide personal information with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian. If you are under the age of 13, you are not permitted to register or provide any personal information through the App.

In the event that we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete such information from our records.

a. Parental Rights

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, you may contact us at info@bellaapp.au. We will work with you to ensure that such information is deleted and that any applicable data access or correction requests are fulfilled.

b. Additional Protections

In compliance with applicable Australian laws, including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), Bella ensures that we do not target or market to children under 13. We also take precautions to screen for age-related information where applicable, so as not to knowingly collect data from users under 13.

9. International Data Transfers

As we operate in Australia, your information is processed and stored on servers located in Australia. If you are accessing Bella from outside of Australia, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Australia where our servers are located and our central database operates.

a. Region specific privacy rights

We collect and process your personal information under the obligations and conditions set by Australia's Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act).

This privacy notice satisfies the notice requirements defined in the Privacy Act, in particular: what personal information we collect from you, from which sources, for which purposes, and other recipients of your personal information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised policy in the App. Your continued use of Bella following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
